30 for 30 – 30 Interviews in 30 Hours at SEC Football Media Days 2022

In July, Atlanta played host to the 2022 SEC Football Media Days, an event that brought together players, coaches and media from across the Southeast to discuss the upcoming college football season and the always-debated predictions for the SEC East and West divisions.

An event of the size and status of SEC Media Days meant all eyes were also on the host venue, Atlanta’s Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, a 95,000-square-foot space that includes an indoor football field and over 50 interactive exhibits enshrining some of the greatest players and coaches in the history of college football. It was an excellent opportunity for the Hall of Fame to show off the facility to the attending media and highlight new exhibits like “The Evolution of the SEC.”

Across the four-day event, the Trevelino/Keller team representing the College Football Hall of Fame managed on-site interviews and coordinated facility tours for visiting media. Some of the coverage highlights captured for the College Football Hall of Fame included ESPN, The Finebaum Show and Sporting News. In just 30 hours, the team secured 30 interviews for the Hall’s CEO and historian – T/K’s very own 30 for 30.

In addition to securing and scheduling media opportunities, the on-site team worked with the Hall’s internal marketing team on social media strategy and execution throughout the event. T/K managed interviews on social platforms with players and coaches, while capturing content from scheduled press conferences. Across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, T/K secured nearly 1 million impressions and new, notable followers for the Hall’s accounts, including athletes and celebrities.

On-site events, especially those with high-profile guests and media in attendance, are massive opportunities to showcase a client, network with media and demonstrate the PR and social capabilities of the team working on the ground. SEC Media Days is an event with a national spotlight in the sporting world – delivering 30 interviews in 30 hours was no small feat.
